Privacy Policy

This page explains what information the ClassVahi website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. In this policy, "ClassVahi", "we" and "us" mean the people who run this website.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the marketing website at classvahi.in. The ClassVahi application at app.classvahi.in holds institute data under the institute's own account and is outside the scope of this page.

The demo request form

When you ask for a demo, the form collects:

• your name, your institute's name and your mobile number (all required); and
• your email address and a message (both optional).

Submitting the form sends these details to our inbox by email. The email's subject line includes your name. The email also includes the address of the page you sent it from, your IP address and the time you sent it. We use these details to contact you about your demo request and, if you go on to use ClassVahi, to stay in touch with you as a customer.

Cookies

Whenever you submit the demo form, whether or not the submission succeeds, the form handler on our server sets a session cookie. It is normally named PHPSESSID and lasts until you close your browser. It holds only the time of your last successful message, and no personal details. We use it only to limit repeated submissions from one browser, so that a stuck retry or a spammer cannot flood our inbox.

Google Analytics also sets cookies, described in the next section. We do not use advertising cookies or any advertising tools on this website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website, so we can improve it. When you visit, your browser loads Google's analytics script, which sets cookies (normally named _ga and _ga_TCH9R1YDRJ) so that repeat visits can be told apart.

Google receives the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), your approximate location at city level, your type of device and browser, and a few actions on the page: scrolling, starting or sending a form, clicking a link that leads off the site, tapping a WhatsApp button, that a demo request was sent, and that a calculator was used. It does not receive your name, phone number, email address, the message you write, or the numbers you type into a calculator. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses, and we have not linked it to Google's advertising features.

Google processes this data under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To stop it, you can block cookies for this website in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Spam protection

The demo form has a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. Automated spam programs often do, and those submissions are not emailed to us or stored by the form. The hosting provider's access log still records the request, like any other.

The form does not currently use Google reCAPTCHA. If we switch it on, we will update this page first. When it is on, your browser loads a script from Google when you submit the form, and Google may set its own cookies and receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Our server also sends Google a verification token together with your IP address to check the submission. Google's own privacy policy applies to that.

WhatsApp

The "Chat on WhatsApp" buttons open WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Messages you send there are covered by WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy. We receive whatever you send us, including your WhatsApp number, and we use it to reply to you.

The free tools

The calculators on this website run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type in are not sent to us or to Google, and are not stored by us. Analytics records only that a calculator was used. We do not ask for any personal details to use them.

Hosting and access logs

The website is served by a hosting provider. Its servers keep standard access logs, which typically record your IP address, your browser and the pages you requested.

Who we share your details with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this website and respond to you, such as our email and hosting providers and Google Analytics, or where the law requires us to.

How long we keep your details

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to respond to you and, if you become a customer, for as long as that relationship continues.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them or delete them. Email us at info@classvahi.in and we will get back to you.

Children

The free tools may be used by students, and we do not ask for personal details to use them. The demo form is meant for institute owners and staff, not for children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
